GDPR & Data Storage

Please read and sign the below statement if you agree to how and why we store your personal data, if you have any questions please contact the Honorary Secretary.

Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 2018, the Fenland Wildfowlers Association (FWA) has a responsibility to inform members about how the Club collects data (which includes personal information relating to a member’s name, address, DOB, email address, shot gun certificate status, vehicle registration numbers and telephone numbers) and how that data will be used. The data we hold is essential to the successful running of the club, therefore your permission [to hold and use your data] is vital; allowing you to receive correspondence and ultimately be a member of the Association. Information supplied in connection with your membership is stored on a password secured electronic system and is only used in connection with membership matters, and the distribution of information. Access to your personal data within the Club is by relevant committee members for the purpose of carrying out their duties. We hold your details on our database only as long as you are a member of the FWA. You have the right to withdraw your permission for FWA to hold your personal details on its database. To withdraw your permission, however, means you are resigning from the Association. If you wish to withdraw your data, and thus your membership, please write to the Honorary Secretary. Upon receipt of such a request, your details will be removed securely from our records, and your membership will be cancelled.

Prospective Applicant’s names are published in the Club Newsletter, and if no objections are received, they will be admitted as members. This may happen retrospectively, so membership may be conditional at first.

I give permission for FWA to store and use my information for club purposes, and declare that all the information provided by me on this Membership Application Form is correct
